100 Days out from 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics! Bridgestone has just announced that our favourite Aussie rider, Tess Coady is joining Team Bridgestone Australia as their newest athlete ambassador. Yes. TESS.
Tess is by far one of the fastest rising talents in the Slopestyle scene, cementing her name globally over her incredible 20/21 Northern Hemisphere competitive season. Bronze at Laax Open, Bronze at World Champs in Aspen, Bronze at World Cup in Switzerland, Gold at European Cup in Switzerland and took out all three categories at the iconic Audie Nines event.
Tess is working with Bridgestone to bring their ‘Chase Your Dream’ message to life through inspo content in the lead up to the games. Tess had worked incredibly hard to get to where she currently is through determination, persistence and a whole lot of talent. They will work together to inspire the younger generation to chase their dreams, and what you need to do in order to make them happen.
“I’m stoked to be joining the Bridgestone family heading into the Olympic Winter Games. They have a really great community at Bridgestone and I really relate to the ‘Chase Your Dream’ message they are putting out!”
“Pyeongchang was definitely a challenging event for me, however I can see with hindsight now that set back was what I needed to really refocus on my goals and how I was going to achieve them. It helped me become more motivated than ever to become a better snowboarder and athlete”.
“My journey since then has really been about showing myself and the public how setbacks can be overcome, and you really can come back stronger and better than ever if you are willing to work hard enough.” – Tess Coady
Tess joins a elite team of Australian athlete icons including; Cathy Freeman, Ariarne Titmus, Joe Ingles, Heath Davidson and Connor O’Leary.
Stay tuned for more from Tess and Bridgestone soon!
