Thredbo Signs On Strong New Team of Ambassadors…

In the lead into the Olympics, Thredbo Resort has brought on the best this winter!

Thredbo signs on a fleet of new ambassadors in the lead up to the Beijing Winter Olympics 2022! They’ve signed on the best on the board currently – Torah Bright, Jarryd Hughes, Valentino Guseli, Tess Coady, Josie Baff and Ben Tudhope!

Torah Bright is a three-time Winter Olympian and has been the face of Thredbo for seven years! From Banked Slalom podiums to Olympics, Torah is always on the mountain spreading her stoke for snowboarding! You will often see her riding the resort or teaching the next gen of shredders at her annual event the Torah Bright Mini Shred.

Joining Torah as Thredbo’s newest ambassador, is 16-year old Thredbo newbie Valentino Guseli, he is the kid who recently broke the World Record for the highest halfpipe air and blew minds over the past Northern Hemisphere winter, definitely one of the best snowboarders in the world right now.

Next up is Tess Coady! Tess is one of the most dominate female riders in the world right now…Olympian, Bronze World Champ slopestyle medalist and bronze LAAX open medalist. She’ll be cutting hot laps up at Thredbo all winter…find her up in the Antons Park training for the upcoming Winter Olympics.

Jarryd Hughes has also joined the stacked fleet of riders competing in PyeongChang 2018 and taking out the Silver Medal plus competing in Sochi 2014. Hughes has ranked number two in the World on the FIS World Cup Rankings after making his first mark on the international snowboard cross circuit in 2012. Good luck finding Jarryd on the mountain, he’ll most likely be flying past as he trains to take out the Olympics Gold Medal.

Josie Baff loves Thredbo through and through. The 18 year-old snowboarder and Jindabyne local, made history to become Australia’s first winter youth Olympic champion. More recently, Josie competed in her first World Cup achieving a top 15 result. Josie now has her eyes set on making her Olympic debut in Beijing 2022.

Ben Tudhope is the last squad member! Australia’s youngest ever Winter Paralympian, Ben is already a Paralympic veteran at the tender age of 21. Placed third in the men’s snowboard cross adaptive event at the 2016 Winter X Games in Colorado, USA, he has since competed at Sochi 2014 and PyeongChang 2018 and proudly carried the Australian flag at the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Games Closing Ceremony.
