The countdown is on, snow is somewhat setting across the resorts and stoke levels are rising at a rapid rate to kick off winter Down Under.
It’s been an age since the snow tribe has been able to get together, drink some booze, shoot the shit and revel in some snowboard culture. Burton Snowboards and Transfer are bringing the early season party vibes back because we all need it, deserve it and want it!
The events are all about bringing together the surrounding local snowboard culture. Our unique clique we operate in boasts some pretty talented creatives, and we’re piling them into some strong venues to make some serious noise, colour and good times. Live music, live art, live interviews with Burtons stacked team of riders plus a film premiere of Burton’s latest release ‘One World‘…because you all need some inspiration heading into this winter. The motivation is definitely there, but the inspo is key.
The party tour is taking over Sydney, Jindabyne, Melbourne, Queenstown and Auckland! Read on below for an overview of what’s going down at each location, and we’ll you see there for a long overdue beer.
First up on Thursday 10 June, is The Hotel Steyne located right on (pretty much) the beautiful Manly Beach, Sydney. We’ve got Street Creature playing a live gig, Simon Fayle perfoming a live art activation, interviews with Burton’s regional and global riders, plus the premiere of ‘One World‘.
Up next is Jindabyne on Wednesday 16 June at the Banjo Paterson Inn Jindabyne knows how to party and celebrate all things winter so we’re brining back the local band Street Creature to play a live gig, ‘One World‘ film premiere and more live interviews with Burton’s stacked team of riders.
Melbourne is stop number 3, going down on Thursday 24 June at The Welcome to Thornbury located in Northcote. In Melbourne is the local band Stiff Richards who will be gracing us with their fast paced high energy live music…just how we like it. Ben Ross will be performing a live art activation, plus more interviews with Burton team riders and premiere of the ‘One World‘ film.
Then we’re flying across the ditch to New Zealand to end on a bang! In Auckland on Thursday 8 July we’ll be at the Wynyard Pavillion and the following week we’re hitting Queenstown on Thursday 15 July at The World Bar. It’s all local with The Cloobs playing live music at both venues, featuring one of Burton’s very own team riders, Carolos Garcia-Knight. The live art activations will be performed by ‘Nevada’ at both venues as well! Plus rider interviews, ‘One World’ premiere and lots, lots more!
Did I mention beer? There’s going to be heaps of that to drown away those summer blues thanks to our good friends at Pirate Life in Australia and Corona in New Zealand.
Now all you need to do, is clear your calendar, hit this link to RSVP and show up as you’re best dressed self…it’s been a while.
