Gear Review | Patagonia Pow Slayer Jacket & Pant

It’s still game on in the Aussie Alps right now. The snowfall that hit a couple weeks ago has delivered a strong top up for backcountry enthusiasts to get out there and enjoy all that spring has to offer. Spring vibes are in full effect.

Hitting the backcountry isn’t just a get up and go scenario. There’s a few essential items one needs to really make it a pleasurable experience. First up is your outerwear. The best type to equip yourself with is a pair that you can run on any given day. Kinda goes with out saying, but the one jacket and pant that can deliver comfort and protection on whatever day…is worth the investment.

We took the Pow Slayer series by Patagonia for a test drive last week and it’s safe to say we will not be returning them back. The jacket and pant combo are perfect for the all round snowboarder – resort, backcountry, winter, spring and overseas jet setter. These are designed to tackle any elements mother nature throws at you.

The best thing about the Pow Slayer series? It’s lightweight and has very minimalist design. Clean and cool…just how we like it. It runs the important essentials and none of the extra crap you never need.
