Hot News | Mt Hotham & Falls Creek Suspend Operation Till August 19…

No more boarding in VIC...

COVID has come back (never really left) and is striking hard in Victoria at the moment. Mt Hotham and Falls Creek resort have just announced that they will be suspending operation till August 19. No snowboarding till August 19…Is 2020 over yet?!

We really hope things settle soon so everyone in Victoria can get out there and get in the turn they deserve.

Mt Hotham & Falls Creek stated tonight that:

“Due to the Stage 3 COVID-19 restrictions for the state of Victoria and the border closure with NSW, we have made the difficult decision to suspend lift operations at Hotham and Falls Creek, effective Thursday, 9 July through at least 19 August.

We recognise the impact this has on our guests, employees and communities and did not make this decision lightly. However, we are focused first and foremost on health and safety, following local health guidelines and doing our part to support efforts across Victoria to address the recent rise in coronavirus cases.

We will continue to assess the situation, follow the guidelines of the state health authorities in evaluating if it is advisable or feasible to reopen either resort this season. Perisher remains open and is unaffected by this decision.

All lift ticket, lesson and rental reservations at Hotham and Falls Creek will be refunded with no requirement for guests to contact us. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to navigate through this incredibly challenging time.”

It’s been a storm with no snow this winter…a shit storm! Stay tuned for more updates soon…
