Scotty James has just (a couple weeks back now) taken out the title according to expert snow reporter Karl Stefanovic as ‘Best Snowboarder on The Planet’. Scotty was live yesterday on Channel Nine’s Wide World of Sports where it was announced that he took home the ‘Crystal Globe’.
What’s the ‘Crystal Globe’? It’s awarded to the snowboarder coming out of a competitive world tour season with the most points in all snowboarding disciplines. The ‘Crystal Globe’ is donned at the annual Snow Australia awards…which is apparently the wildest party of the year. We’re still awaiting our invite. Next year…maybe. We’ll bring the schnapps.
