It’s been all systems go this week in Laax, Switzerland. The LAAX Open has seen over 200 of the top riders from around the world show up and blow up in slopestyle and halfpipe.
However, only the top get to play in the finals and walk home with the prize purse over $200K and stack some World Cup points.
The Aussies and Kiwis have held it down this event! Zoi Sadowski-Synnott from NZ and Tess Coady from AUS both qualified for the finals of the womens slopestyle. Best thing is…you can watch them live this weekend! The finals for womens slopestyle kicks off at 11:15PM AEST time tonight (Friday 22) . It’s an early one, but we’ll be up and at it! Then we’ve got two Aussies stepping it up in the finals for the mens halfpipe. Valentino Guseli took out the top spot in qualifiers as well as Scotty James who qualified third. This is a must not miss final. Scotty is looking to defend his title and young Valentino at the young age of 15 is looking to drop jaws and mark his name in that pipe.
