Welcome to Winter Auckland Party Recap

Welcoming winter in with style. Live music, art activations, free booze, One World screening and quality vibes. NZ does it right.

The Burton Snowboards x Transfer ‘Welcome to Winter’ party tour is still rolling and made its way over the ditch!

The New Zealand crew sure know how to party, welcoming winter the right way – a good ol’ fashioned blowout with a strong turnout.

The Wynyard Pavilion welcomed thirsty snowboarders in search of a good time and delivered! The beer flowed thanks to Corona and there were some lucky attendees who walked away with some stacked prizes – snowboards, One World limited merch and more.

Nevada, an artist, snowboarder and local Kiwi took the the two large canvas’ and performed a live art piece. Bringing some colour and creativity to the beautiful images, making it a one of a kind piece someone could take home! NZ have deep pockets, with a solid amount of money being raised in the silent art auction + raffle for Protect Our Winters New Zealand.

The One World screening fueled the fire in everyone to go snowboarding. NZ local and superstar, Zoi Sadowski-Synott was in attendance on the night and hoots were hitting the roof when her section in the Japan segment of the film aired.

Burton & NZ’s sweetheart snowboarder, Carlos Garcia Knight and his band The Cloobs took to the stage to bring the ruckus Auckland has been waiting for. Ever seen snowboarders dance? It’s a sight that must be seen – they love to bash, dash and boogie into the night.

Next stop! We’re coming in hot to Queenstown next week on Thursday 15 July at the iconic World Bar. See you all there at 7PM!
