The Audi Nines just wrapped up 4 days of absolute fury. Nonstop riding sessions on an innovative playground of finely sculpted snow features in Crans-Montana, Valais, Switzerland.
What the fuck is Audi Nines? And why is it so rad?
The Audi Nines isn’t a contest, but riders cast votes at the end of the event to recognize the session’s most impressive performers in three different categories. The honors for Best Trick went to Boris Mouton and Aussie Tess Coady. Mouton took a unique approach to the course’s “snow globe,” bouncing off the side before backflipping out and Coady put down a switch backside 900 to earn the nod from their peers.
Tess Coady and Patrick Hofmann claimed the award for the Most Creative riders. Coady impressed everyone with her smooth style throughout the session, while Hofmann turned the venue into his own personal playground with unconventional approaches and innovative lines.
The riders who made the best overall impression were dubbed the Rulers of the Week: Sebbe De Buck and Tess Coady for the snowboarders. They left an indelible mark on the session with consistent and impressive performances on every feature.
So…Tess Coady our queen from Australia won every single category from Audi Nines that could be won. Clean sweep – Ruler of the Week, Best Trick and Most Creative. What a way to end her incredible season on a high note.
